It's time to welcome back Oxford's best young jazz musicians, comprising students from all around the city. The evening will be led by multi-instrumentalist, Oxford University Music student, and RAM Junior Academy Jazz course member Eva Fidler and trombonist Sheen Bendon.


The Band

Eva Fidler: Saxophone

Vice President of the Oxford University Jazz Orchestra, Eva is a second year music student at St Hilda's College with experience in Music Journalism, Sound Design & Composition and Teaching. She is a Saxophonist and muti-instrumentalist, an active member of the Oxford Music Scene.

 

 

Sheen Bendon: Trombone

Sheen studies Physics at University of Oxford · He lives in Altrincham

Tyler is studying for a PhD in Oxford working on the theoretical foundations for machine learning and optimisation. As a musician, he primarily focussed on Jazz drums. He regularly performs around Oxford and London and helps to run a jam night in Oxford.

Adam Cole: Bass

A double bass player for many years and a former member of National Youth Orchestra, Adam is a third year music student. He has experience in the fields of Music Performance, Journalism and Digital Communications.

Alexander is a composer, pianist and organist from Edinburgh. He is currently a Nielsen scholar reading Music at St. Hilda's College, Oxford. He specialises in Jazz piano and played keys for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland and various groups.

 

 


The Music

Electrifying Performances: They will be bringing us electrifying performances where each note re-tells a much loved story with contemporary flair.

A New Generation: We are celebrating a brand-new generation of stunning talent, where tradition meets innovation and a relaxed mood from some of the most promising and exciting young jazz players on the Oxford jazz scene.
